LAS VEGAS (AP) - An ex-felon who sold cocaine to an undercover police officer in southern Nevada has been sentenced to more than eight years in federal prison on drug and weapon charges.

A U.S. district judge sentenced 29-year-old Oren Snowden of Las Vegas on Friday after he pleaded guilty in March to one count of possession with intent to distribute cocaine and one count of felon in possession of a firearm.

Federal prosecutors say Snowden sold cocaine to an undercover detective at a gas station in Las Vegas for $280 last June.

A subsequent search of his residence turned up six firearms, including three semi-automatic handguns and a semi-automatic rifle with a scope.
