ROCKY HILL, Conn. (AP) - A Connecticut high school track coach has resigned and two teachers have been placed on leave amid an investigation into allegations of misconduct involving a student.

Rocky Hill Public Schools Superintendent Mark Zito said in a statement the coach resigned from his assistant coaching position on May 29. The coach is not a teacher. Two Rocky Hill High School teachers who serve as track coaches have been placed on administrative leave.

No names were released.

Rocky Hill police are investigating the matter. No charges have been filed.

Zito said student safety is the district’s “first priority” and that administrators are cooperating with police.
