BOSTON (AP) - An injured lobsterman has been rescued off the Massachusetts coast by a fire department and the U.S. Coast Guard.

Officials say a 78-year-old man on the lobster boat Sea Force One was taken to a hospital by medevac for a leg injury 12 miles off of Gloucester on Tuesday afternoon.

Two boats, one from the Coast Guard station in Gloucester, and a second from the Gloucester fire Department, were dispatched to assist the man.

He is reported to be in stable condition at the time of the transfer. No other details, including the man’s name, are immediately available.
