CRUM, W.Va. (AP) - West Virginia authorities say 21 people have been arrested on a total of more than 40 charges in a multi-level drug bust called “Operation CrumBull.”

News outlets quote Wayne County Sheriff Rick Thompson as saying authorities executed search and drug warrants Wednesday morning in several areas, including Crum and Dunlow. A department release says “large amounts” of money and drugs were seized during the searches and arrests.

It says law enforcement officers during the investigation made several undercover purchases of drugs such as oxycodone from suspects. Other drugs purchased undercover include crystal methamphetamine, heroin and marijuana.

The release says Violent Crime and Drug Task Force West, state police and U.S. Marshals assisted in the bust.
