BLOOMINGTON, Calif. (AP) - Three members of a Southern California family have died after a car jumped a sidewalk and struck them as they strolled in their neighborhood. Authorities say they died Sunday night when a red Dodge Challenger struck them.

San Bernardino County coroner’s officials identify them as 13-year-old female Andrea Jaureguis and her brothers, 17-year-old Jose Manuel Jaureguis and 20-year-old Angel Jaureguis.

Their mother, Maria Luna Jaureguis, received moderate injuries.

KCBS-TV reports that the California Highway Patrol says the 19-year-old driver lost control and slid across four lanes. He remained at the scene.

Authorities say there’s no indication that alcohol and drugs were involved in the crash. Investigators are trying to determine whether the car may have been street racing.
