MEDWAY, Mass. (AP) - School officials say a bank of lockers fell on a custodian in Massachusetts, trapping her underneath.

Medway Public Schools Superintendent Armand Pires says the lockers fell on the custodian as she was cleaning them at Medway Middle School Monday.

Pires says bystanders tried to lift the lockers off the woman but were unable. First responders arrived and used an inflatable pillow to free the woman.

The woman has been hospitalized with unspecified injuries.

Pires says an investigation will be carried out to determine how the lockers fell.

No students were inside the school at the time, as the last day of classes was Wednesday.
