President Trump pushed for Republicans to pass immigration reform on Wednesday, even while warning of Democrat obstruction.

Mr. Trump argued that passing the bill will show that Republicans “want strong borders.”

This strategy is a flip from the president’s advice on Friday, when he said Republicans should wait for a potential “Red Wave” during midterms to pass legislation.

He argued that Republicans needed a larger majority to pass legislation without relying on Democrats in the Senate.
