WESTFORD, Mass. (AP) - A Massachusetts woman has been arraigned in connection to a fatal highway crash.

Prosecutors say 45-year-old Julie Gagnon-Erickson was arraigned Wednesday in Ayer District Court and charged with felony motor vehicular homicide while operating under the influence of alcohol.

Officials say Gagnon-Erickson was driving 80 miles-per-hour in the wrong director on the highway in Westford when she crashed into another vehicle. The driver of that vehicle was 35-year-old Raming Medina Cabreja of Worcester, who was pronounced dead at the scene. She has been released on personal recognizance and ordered to remain under house arrest until the next hearing on July 27.

An attorney for Gagnon-Erickson could not be immediately identified, and a working number for her residence could not be found.
