GROTON, Conn. (AP) - Police say they have arrested an 18-year-old woman who stabbed another woman inside a car that was stopped at a Connecticut intersection.

Authorities say the two women knew each other, and they had an encounter earlier in the day Tuesday in Groton.

The first woman followed the 19-year-old victim in her car until the victim stopped at an intersection.

Police say both women exited their cars, but the victim ran back to her vehicle. That’s when, police say, the suspect reached through a window and stabbed the victim in the arm.

The victim was treated at a hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

Police say the suspect has been charged with assault, reckless endangerment and threatening among other offenses.
