GLEN BURNIE, Md. (AP) - A rebar post impaled the thigh of a Maryland man who fell 9 feet while working on his yard.
Anne Arundel County Fire spokesman Lt. Erik Kornmeyer tells The Capital that the 67-year-old man had fallen from a retaining wall onto the steel bar on Monday afternoon. Fire personnel cut the post above where it went through the man’s thigh.
He was airlifted to Shock Trauma with serious and possibly life-threatening injuries.
His name and current condition hasn’t been released.
