A judge in New York said Tuesday a defamation lawsuit filed by Summer Zervos, one of the women accusing President Trump of sexual misconduct, can continue.

Ms. Zervos, a former contestant on NBC’s “The Apprentice,” sued Mr. Trump prior to his inauguration, and his lawyers have said the lawsuit should be halted, arguing a sitting president should be immune from the litigation.

But New York Supreme Court Judge Jennifer Schecter ruled Tuesday the suit can move forward, setting a deadline for discovery for the beginning of next year, according to BuzzFeed News.

Ms. Zervos accused the president of groping her and is one of roughly a dozen women accusing the president of sexual harassment.

The White House has dismissed the women’s allegations, saying they are not true.
