AMES, Iowa (AP) - Iowa State sophomore guard Jakolby Long intends to transfer to another school.

The 6-foot-5 Long, who is from suburban Oklahoma City, averaged just 1.9 points in 9.5 minutes over 22 games this past season despite ample opportunities to earn his way into a thin rotation.

Iowa State will also add three highly-touted freshman guards as freshmen next season and Virginia transfer Marial Shayok, a shooting guard like Long, will be eligible next winter.

The Cyclones finished 13-18 this season and missed the NCAA Tournament after six consecutive appearances. Coach Steve Prohm announced the transfer Tuesday.
