BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - A Louisiana woman has been accused of trying to kill her boyfriend. Now her daughter also is charged in the case.

Twenty-three-year-old Asia Landry is accused of texting her mother, Elisa Landry, during a police interview and telling her to hide evidence.

WAFB-TV cites an arrest warrant that says Elisa Landry is accused of shooting her boyfriend and fleeing with his 3-year-old child in February because she thought he was cheating on her.

Baton Rouge Police Sgt. L’Jean Mckneely says the victim is expected to survive.

Court documents say Elisa Landry is charged with attempted second-degree murder and simple kidnapping, and now Asia Landry was charged Wednesday with accessory after the fact to attempted second-degree murder.

Both are out on bail. It’s unclear if they have lawyers.
