SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) - A Sioux Falls movie theater is seeking city permission to sell beer and wine to customers.

The Argus Leader reports the West Mall 7 Theater is applying for a liquor license. Owner Todd Fragor says theaters in other markets are selling booze, and he wants to “test the waters.”

The ultimate decision will rest with the City Council. Members say they’re open to the idea, but only if the theater can demonstrate an ability to keep alcohol out of the hands of minors.

The council could decide the matter April 3.
