NASHUA, N.H. (AP) - A New Hampshire man with power of attorney for his elderly grandmother has been sentenced to at least a year in prison for taking about $27,000 of her money.
Attorney General Gordon MacDonald says Ashton Haven managed his 88-year-old grandmother’s money and paid her bills. MacDonald said Haven used the money for his own benefit between 2016 and 2017.
The 29-year-old Haven, of Nashua, also was ordered to pay back the money.
