ELIZABETH, N.J. (AP) - A group of New Jersey State Troopers formed a human chain to rescue a man stuck in a marsh.

WPVI-TV reports the rescue happened Saturday in Elizabeth. Authorities say the man got stuck in the marsh area when he was trying to walk to the other side.

The first two troopers who arrived on the scene tried to pull the man out with a tree limb, but the man couldn’t grasp it. Six more troopers responded and formed a human chain to help the man escape.
