ATLANTA (AP) - Authorities say a man who had explosives and bomb-making materials in his Georgia home has been arrested.

Authorities say 30-year-old Andrew Davidson was charged with conspiracy to commit an offense involving explosives and destructive devices after Towne Lake community residents showed deputies video of what they believed was an explosion.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that residents felt an explosion near their homes Feb. 15.

Davidson was identified as the suspect and authorities searched the home and found he had detonated an improvised device.

Cherokee County sheriff’s Sgt. Marianne Kelley said in a statement that the suspect had explosive materials, which when mixed together could make an explosive device, in addition to other materials commonly used for bomb-making.

It’s unclear if Davidson has a lawyer.
