PHOENIX (AP) - Authorities say a man accused of breaking into Phoenix police vehicles has been arrested.

Police announced Thursday that 41-year-old Branden Tucker is facing seven felony counts of burglary, criminal trespassing and possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia.

They say Tucker was linked to the burglaries by evidence left at the scene.

It’s unclear if Tucker has a lawyer yet.

Police say the burglaries have occurred since mid-January.

They say a suspect entered the fenced yard of a facility where marked patrol vehicles, unmarked police vehicles, and employee personal vehicles are parked.

Police equipment, items marked POLICE and uniform items, plus city issued and personal weapons were taken from vehicles.

Authorities say a search warrant executed at Tucker’s residence turned up numerous items taken in the burglaries.
