JACKSONVILLE, N.C. (AP) - Authorities in North Carolina say a man has been charged with murder after a fight with another man over his wife.
Onslow County Sheriff Hans Miller told local news outlets that deputies reached a home Wednesday and found the body of 54-year-old Wayne Curry dead from apparent gunshot wounds.
Deputies say their investigation showed 62-year-old John Price Jr. shot Curry in a dispute over the suspect’s estranged wife, who was living with Curry. Miller said neighbors heard the shooting, saw Price trying to leave and held him at gunpoint until deputies arrived.
Miller says Price is charged with murder and is jailed without bond. It couldn’t be determined if he has an attorney.
