CLOVIS, N.M. (AP) - Authorities say a 30-year-old Clovis man has been indicted on a second-degree murder charge in a September shooting.
Andrea Reeb, the district attorney for New Mexico’s Ninth Judicial District, said Friday that a grand jury indicted Darryl Turner in the shooting death of David McDonald at a Clovis apartment complex.
She says Turner fled to California, where he was eventually arrested on unrelated charges and extradited to New Mexico on a murder warrant.
Turner is being jailed without bond pending trial in the Curry County Detention Center.
