Death of woman is being investigated as homicide

DUNBAR, W.Va. (AP) - Police in West Virginia say they have found the body of a woman and are investigating her death as a homicide.

News outlets report that Dunbar police found the woman who appeared to be shot on Tuesday morning.

Police went to a location after suspicious items were found in a parking lot. Police found the body, several items with blood on them and bullet casings.

Dunbar police and the Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office are investigating.
