LAS VEGAS (AP) - Las Vegas police say an elderly woman was taken to a hospital after she was beaten and robbed inside her room at a downtown Las Vegas hotel-casino.
Las Vegas police Lt. David Gordon says the woman who is in 80s was attacked by a man as she was entering her room early Wednesday .
Gordon says the man fled the scene with the woman’s camera and purse, which held her ID, credit cards and cash.

The Las Vegas Review-Journal reports the woman was taken to a hospital with injuries to her face.
The suspect was still on the loose as of Wednesday morning.
