MESA, Ariz. (AP) - Police say they have arrested a man and a woman under suspicion in the death of a missing man with a diminished mental capacity.
The Mesa Police Department said Friday officers found a body believed to belong to the man after the pair was arrested and they talked about the man’s killing. The 34-year-old said to have the mental capacity of a 15-year-old was reported missing Wednesday.
Authorities found the corpse hidden under bushes in a forest area near Star Valley, Arizona. It has not been identified.
The missing man was last seen at an apartment with the pair arrested by the Winslow Police Department, 42-year-old Jesse Dakins and 34-year-old Tiffany Warren.
Authorities say they were charged with first-degree murder, vulnerable adult abuse and theft of means of transportation.
