RENO, Nev. (AP) - Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren has agreed to give the keynote address next month at the Nevada Democratic Party’s state convention in Reno.
Nevada Democratic Party Chairman William McCurdy II announced Friday Warren will speak at the event on June 23 along with Sen. Catherine Cortez Masto and the rest of Nevada’s 2018 Democratic ticket.
Warren has built a national base among Democrats and is frequently mentioned as a potential White House contender in 2020. She has been a harsh and outspoken critic of President Donald Trump and his administration.
Nevada is considered a battleground state with a key early presidential primary.
Republican Sen. Dean Heller is the only Senate Republican currently running for re-election in a state that Trump failed to carry in 2016.
