ASOTIN, Wash. (AP) - A Clarkston man has been sentenced to four years in prison for leading authorities on a high-speed chase through a school zone.
The Lewiston Tribune reports that Jerad J. Cavin will start his Washington prison term after he completes his current sentence in Idaho for auto theft.
He was sentenced Friday on convictions for possessing a stolen vehicle, attempt to elude officers and hit and run.
Authorities say Cavin stole a car and then reached speeds topping 45 mph in a residential area and lost control after hitting another car.
He had been released from an Idaho facility just days before the high-speed chase on an unrelated charge of burglary.
