Charlize Theron is set to star in an upcoming movie on the 2016 sexual harassment allegations that brought down former Fox News Channel chief executive Roger Ailes.

The star of “Mad Max: Fury Road” and “Monster” has inked a deal to portray former Fox star Megyn Kelly in a movie directed by Jay Roach. The project was announced in an exclusive provided to The Hollywood Reporter.

“The project is described as an ensemble pic, with Ailes and others who were involved at Fox News during his reign said to be major players in the piece,” THR reported Monday. “Characters included are likely to be [Gretchen] Carlson, former anchor Greta Van Susteren, media mogul Rupert Murdoch and fired host Bill O’Reilly.”

The untitled project will be produced by Annapurna Pictures.

Mr. Ailes, who launched Fox News in 1996 with media mogul Rupert Murdoch, died in May 2017 at age 77. He was ousted from the network shortly after former Fox star Gretchen Carlson filed a sexual harassment lawsuit in July 2016.
