NEW CASTLE, Del. (AP) - Authorities say an exploding device has damaged an unoccupied car in Delaware.

Assistant State Fire Marshal Michael G. Chionchio tells the News Journal that no injuries were reported in the explosion late Sunday night.

Authorities haven’t identified the device yet. Chionchio says the New Castle County Police Department’s Explosive Ordnance Disposal unit responded after a suspicious package was found on the scene, but that package was not a device.

No further information has been released.
