LAS VEGAS (AP) - Police say a man has been killed and a newborn baby critically injured following a shooting in southeast Las Vegas.
Las Vegas police say the 41-year-old man was shot in the chest and the bullet then struck his 3-week-old baby Tuesday night.
Police Lt. Ray Spencer says the baby’s mother and father had entered an argument at an apartment complex.
Spencer says the woman’s brother, who lived in a neighboring apartment, retrieved a gun and fired once.
The man was transported to a hospital where he died. Spencer says the baby was sent to the hospital in “extremely critical” condition.
The brother is in police custody. Police did not release the suspect’s or the victims’ names.
