MERIDEN, Conn. (AP) - Connecticut State Police say the victim of a wrong-way fatal crash in Meriden this week was a New York City woman.
The victim of the crash in Interstate 691 at about 3 a.m. Tuesday was identified as 35-year-old Marieta Morchadze, of Brooklyn, New York.
Police say she was the passenger in a Nissan Versa that was traveling west in the eastbound lanes of the highway that crashed into a tractor-trailer traveling east.
The truck driver, a Cromwell man, was not injured. The driver of the Versa, a man from Schenectady, New York, suffered minor injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
