CASPER, Wyo. (AP) - A former Wyoming gynecologist has been sentenced to 20 to 30 years in prison for sexually assaulting patients during medical exams.

Paul Harnetty of Casper was convicted in January of two counts of second-degree sexual assault.

KTWO-AM reports that District Judge Thomas Sullins on Friday sentenced Harnetty to not less than 10 years and not more than 15 years on each count of sexual assault, to be served consecutively.

Harnetty did not address the court before the sentence was handed down.

During his trial, six female patients testified that Harnetty touched them during physical examinations in ways that were unusual and made them feel uncomfortable.
