GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) - Trial has been delayed for an Ashwaubenon man accused of fatally stabbing his ex-girlfriend and her mother nearly two years ago.
Authorities allege 27-year-old Jacob Cayer fatally stabbed Sabrina Teague and her mother, Heesun “Sunny” Teague, at the Teagues’ home in Hobart in June 2017. Sabrina Teague’s boyfriend was wounded but hit Cayer with a shovel and was able to get away.
Cayer was found competent to stand trial in March 2017, and was to stand trial beginning May 14 on two counts of first-degree intentional homicide and one count of attempted homicide.
WFRV-TV reports that during a pretrial hearing on Monday, he withdrew his plea of not guilty by reason of mental disease or defect. His trial was delayed until July 23.
