HIGH POINT, N.C. (AP) - A man has been arrested in the shooting death of a woman during a domestic dispute at a North Carolina home.

Media outlets reported that police in High Point said 30-year-old Alvin Nathanael Smith turned himself in to officers Tuesday morning. Smith is charged with first-degree murder in the shooting death of 33-year-old Elizabeth Lauren Smith of High Point.

Police said officers were called shortly after 8 p.m. Monday as Elizabeth Smith tried to remove some of her property from the home.
