MELBOURNE, Fla. (AP) - Police say a decaying body has been found inside a van parked at a Walmart in Florida.
Reports show that the unidentified body was discovered Friday night. Officers had been called out to investigate the suspicious vehicle following complaints about a strong odor in the store’s parking lot.
Florida Today reports the body may have been a homeless man. One witness told officers that a man who was seen with the van had not been spotted in a week.
It is unclear who the van’s owner is or how long the body was inside.
An investigation is ongoing.
