CHELSEA, Mass. (AP) - Massachusetts police are looking for a man they say slashed the neck of a waitress who tried to stop him as he left a restaurant without paying.

Chelsea police said Wednesday that Geraldo Reyes faces an attempted murder charge when he’s caught.

Police say Reyes finished dining at Las Pupusas Del Chino restaurant at about 11 p.m. Monday and skipped out on the bill.

The waitress, whose name wasn’t released, followed him.

Manager Gilberto Ramos says Reyes sped off with the waitress in his vehicle. She was found a short distance away with slash wounds to her neck and right hand.

She was treated and released from the hospital.

Ramos got the license plate of the vehicle and called police, who are looking for a red sedan with Colorado plates.
