Another suspicious package was found Thursday night in California, addressed to Democratic megadonor Tom Steyer, the FBI confirmed.

The package was “similar in appearance” to a series of pipe bombs mailed last week to various prominent Democrats and CNN, the agency said.

Friday’s discovery brings the total number of suspicious packages to 16. It is the second package found addressed to Mr. Steyer, a major donor to Democrat causes and leader of a movement to impeach President Trump.

Cesar Sayoc, who authorities believe orchestrated the mailing plot, was arrested Oct. 26 and charged with five federal offenses that could give him up to 48 years in prison.

Mr. Sayoc agreed Friday to be transferred to New York for trial. He is being held without bail.

Though the suspect was apprehended, authorities warn that more packages could still be en route to their destinations.
