JACKSON, Miss. (AP) - Mississippi voters face deadlines for casting absentee ballots in races for U.S. House and Senate and for judicial posts.
In-person absentee voting ends at noon Saturday in circuit clerks’ offices. Absentee ballots that are returned by mail must be received by Monday.
Registered voters who are 65 or older may vote absentee, as may any voter with a temporary or permanent disability.
Also eligible for absentee are registered voters of any age, including college students, who will be away from their home county on Election Day and those who are required to be at work when the polls are open.
Election Day is Tuesday, and polls are open 7 a.m.-7 p.m. Voters will need to show a driver’s license or another type of government-issued photo identification at the polls.
