WISHEK, N.D. (AP) - A man has drowned in a retention pond while working at a landfill in McIntosh County.
Sheriff’s officials say the 66-year-old man was doing chemical testing at the Jahner Landfill pond near Wishek when he fell in and drowned Wednesday afternoon.
Sheriff Laurie Spitzer says the man was alone at the time and was self-employed. He has not been identified.
