NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Police in Tennessee say a 97-year-old woman and her 68-year-old daughter have been shot to death by a second daughter who then fatally wounded herself.

Nashville police spokesman Don Aaron says 97-year-old Rachel Andrews called 911 about 2 p.m. Wednesday and an operator overheard her say, “Please don’t kill me.” Aaron said the operator then heard another woman say, “I have to, hang the phone up, Mama. Hang the phone up.”

Aaron said in a video posted on The Tennessean’s website that police found 65-year-old Gail Andrews Miller with a revolver nearby. She died before an ambulance arrived. Police found 68-year-old Barbara Andrews dead in a back room of the home she shared with her mother. Aaron said the mother, Rachel Andrews, was rushed to a hospital, where she died.

A note asking for forgiveness was found at Miller’s home.
