WINCHESTER, Conn. (AP) - Police in Connecticut have publicly identified two people killed in a crash earlier this week.

Police say 19-year-old Kayla Lombardo and 26-year-old Ryan Cote, both of Winsted, were pronounced dead at the scene of the crash in Winchester late Monday.

Police say Lombard was headed south on Route 8 when the she apparently lost control, crossed the center line, drove off the road and crashed into a tree.



Three passengers in the vehicle’s back seat were injured. A juvenile female was thrown from the rear seat and was seriously injured. Eighteen-year-old Abigail Passini was seriously injured, while a 22-year-old Tyler Godfrey suffered minor injuries.

The cause remains under investigation.
