MESA, Ariz. (AP) - Police in Mesa are investigating the discovery of a woman’s body in what they say is a suspicious death.
Officers initially responded to an injured man near Southern Avenue and 80th Street in Mesa on Tuesday morning before discovering the woman’s body.
Police say the man told responders that the woman could be found nearby.
Officers found the body, which had signs of trauma.
Police didn’t immediate provide any information about a possible cause of death.
The injured man was taken to a hospital for treatment.
The names and ages of the man and woman haven’t been released yet.
