BONNEY LAKE, Wash. (AP) - One person was killed and two others injured when a fire broke out inside a mobile home in Bonney Lake.
KOMO-TV reports that the fire started just before 6 a.m. Wednesday.
Chief Bud Backer with East Pierce Fire & Rescue says five people lived inside the mobile home, but only four escaped.
An elderly man who was in a wheelchair was found dead inside.
Of those who made it out, one person was hospitalized for smoke inhalation, while a second person was treated at the scene. Two others who escaped the fire were not hurt.
Investigators are still looking into what started the fire.
The Red Cross is on the way to help those displaced by the fire.
