Former city employee gets 9 years in child porn case

COUNCIL BLUFFS, Iowa (AP) - A former Council Bluffs city employee has been imprisoned for child pornography.

Federal prosecutors say 35-year-old Jamin Fletcher was sentenced Wednesday to nine years. A jury found Fletcher guilty in April of receiving and distributing child pornography. He was acquitted of advertising child pornography.

Authorities say Fletcher was an accounting clerk for the city from 2008 to 2017.
