EWING, N.J. (AP) - Authorities say a man whose car broke down on an interstate highway in central New Jersey was struck and killed by another vehicle as he walked along the roadway.

State police say 45-year-old Johnnie Holloway, of New Brunswick, was struck shortly after 8 p.m. Monday on Interstate 295 in Ewing.

Holloway’s vehicle had broken down on a southbound shoulder of the highway. He was struck a short time later by a car driven by a 51-year-old Vero Beach, Florida man.



No charges have been filed in the accident, which remains under investigation.
