Klay Thompson hit a record-setting 14 threes Monday night in a 149-124 Golden State Warriors win over the Chicago Bulls, breaking teammate Stephen Curry’s record of 13 in a game.

Thompson broke the record with just under five minutes remaining in the third quarter. Thompson was swarmed by teammates after he made the record-breaking three over Bull’s forward Chandler Hutchinson.

“I just knew I was due for a big night. I just knew it” said Thompson in a post-game interview.

Thompson was just 5 for 36 from long range through Golden State’s first seven games. He was 14-24 from three-point range Monday night.
