WATFORD CITY, N.D. (AP) - A North Dakota Highway Patrol trooper was taken to a hospital after being struck by a vehicle while helping direct traffic as cattle crossed a road in McKenzie County.
The incident happened Monday evening on state Highway 23, east of Watford City, as the trooper was out of his vehicle helping county deputies.
