At a division leading 5-2, the Redskins find themselves higher in the power rankings than they’ve been all year. USA Today has the Redskins ranked 7th, three spots higher than the defending Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles.
The Redskins, riding a three-game win streak, are up everywhere, but there’s little consensus on how high they should be ranked. ESPN has the Redskins at 13th, NFL.com has them at 9th and Sports Illustrated puts them at 12th.
The Redskins lead the division in almost every power ranking.
In ESPN’s, NFL.com’s, Sports Illustrated’s, and USA Today’s rankings, the Eagles aren’t far behind, earning spots as high as 9th in the rankings. The Cowboys and Giants, although, don’t earn spots higher than 17th and 29th according to the rankings referenced above.
