BURLINGTON, Vt. (AP) - Many Vermonters are making it clear that they don’t support the newest member of the U.S. Supreme Court.
Demonstrations were held Saturday in Burlington and in Montpelier.
In Montpelier, crowds walked from City Hall to the State House lawn.

In Burlington, about 100 protesters marched through downtown chanting and waving signs. Pat Folsom, of Waitsfield, said “despair is not an option” and that people have to keeping working for justice.
Vermont Sens. Bernie Sanders and Patrick Leahy both voted against Kavanaugh’s nomination.
