PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) - The price of a gallon of gasoline in Rhode Island has remained the same.
AAA Northeast reported Tuesday that its weekly price survey found self-serve, regular selling for an average of $2.84 per gallon, the same price as a week ago.
That price is 7 cents lower than the national average of $2.91, but 20 cents per gallon higher than the in-state price a year ago.
AAA Northeast says the price of crude oil is up, but strong supplies have kept those higher prices from reaching Rhode Island so far.
AAA found self-serve selling for as low as $2.68 per gallon and as high as $3.09.
