Sylvester Stallone says filming on the latest “John Rambo” adventure is about to begin.

He may have just finished work on “Creed II” with Michael B. Jordan and old pal Dolph Lundgren, but “Sly” was never one to rest on his laurels. The iconic actor updated fans on Sunday regarding production of “Rambo 5,” which will revolve around the veteran’s run-in with a Mexican drug cartel.

“Starting soon and getting very excited,” Mr. Stallone wrote on Instagram. “The world may be changing but not him,” the actor wrote. “NOTHING IS OVER!”

John Rambo last appeared on the big screen in 2008’s R-rated “Rambo,” which grossed roughly $120 million worldwide with a $50 million budget.

The series has grossed roughly $730 million since its debut in 1982 when adjusted for inflation.

No release date has been set for the project.

“Creed II” premiers Nov. 21.
