NORTH HAVEN, Conn. (AP) - North Haven police have identified a man who died after his car struck a utility pole over the holiday weekend.

Police say 26-year-old John Angeloni, of North Haven, was driving on Route 17 at about 11 a.m. Monday when his car left the road, rolled over and hit the pole.

Officials say Angeloni was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say it’s not clear why Angeloni’s car went off the road.

A regional traffic unit is helping North Haven police with the investigation.
